Head-to-toe pair of the 10c. bistre cancelled grille on letter stamped with the post mark from PARIS of December 31, 1850 to NEW YORK. American manuscript tax at 24 cents. On the back, transit stamp from Le Havre. 1 of the 2 known examples destined for the UNITED STATES. Ex. BULINGER and LOEUILLET collection. Superb. RRR
