Lot 70 - BRITISH EAST AFRICA - 1895 STAMPS OF INDIA OPTD "British/East/Africa" ON COVERS: Spectacular 1897 env. registered to UK franked with ½a + 1a + 1½a + 2 + 2½a + 3a + 4a + 8a + 1R India stamps optd "British/East/Africa" (SG 49-55, 57 & 60) tied by "MOMBASA/A/MY 21/97" cds's, with oval "R" & oval "REGISTERED/ZK/13 10 97/LONDON" ds adjacent and partial "[REGIST]ERED/[?]7/JU 14 97/S.W.D.O." ds on back. Also, 1896 env. posted locally with similar ½a + 3a stamps tied by very fine Mombasa squared circle ds with Mombasa cds on back. SG cat. £3960 on covers. Exhibition items. (2 covers). Estimate £750.
 
Lot 327 JAMAICA - KGVI 1941 5/- SLATE-BLUE & YELLOW-ORANGE LINE PERF. 14: One of the rarest mint stamps of the KGVI period. A fine mounted mint example with BPA Cert. (2002). SG 132a £7,000. Estimate £1800.
 
Lot 440 MALTA - 1919 10/- BLACK WMK CROWN CA: A fresh, well centred mint example. Expertiser's initials in pencil on reverse. A very fine and scarce stamp. SG 96 £3,250 Estimate £1200.
