The 19th April will see the third in a series of sales dedicated to the remarkable collection of postal history and used stamps of the British Empire formed by David Pitts. It is the first of two sales focusing on Bermuda, his favourite and most important collection. The sale spans the period from 1796 to 1965 and encompasses a range of postal history and stamp issues, cancellations and unusual postal history subjects.
Short Terms and Conditions
In addition to the Hammer Price, the Buyer must pay the Buyer's premium at a rate of 20% of the final Hammer Price.
For Lots marked with (o) no VAT is charged.
For Lots marked with(?), (†) or (Ω) VAT is chargeable on the Hammer price and the Buyer's premium at the standard rate (currently 20%).
For Lots marked with (x) VAT is chargeable on the Hammer price at the reduced rate (currently 5%) and on the Buyer's Premium at standard rate (currently 20%).
VAT on Margin scheme lots (identified by the absence of any VAT symbol next to the lot number) is payable at 20% on the Buyer’s premium only.
