Auction 230 Coins, Banknotes, Sporting Memorabilia & Collectables on Sunday 25 November 2018 features Cricket with the balance of Don Wigan’s collection, a “Baggy Green” as well as Ray Bright’s collection, Cigarette Cards including a rare complete 1887 Goodwin & Co (NY) album, Australian Rules Football featuring Ern Cowley’s 1918 Carlton guernsey and Goal-Kicking Medal, an authenticated set of Peter Thomson’s golf clubs, plus a range of Motoring Posters and World Expositions material. The Coins & Banknotes section includes two important new discoveries - a Specimen/Pattern Melbourne Centenary Florin and a 1927 Riddle/Heathershaw £5 note with the incorrect ‘CHAIRMAN OF DIRECTORS…’ inscription - as well as a beautiful gold 1885 Austrian Sharp-Shooting medal and an extensive range of accumulations which are sure to be hotly contested.
