Spink 17026 - The Philatelic Collector's Series
Over 1,500 lots will be offered over four sessions. Commencing with an interesting group of Colonial Die Proofs and followed by countries A-Z with fine Bahamas including some beautiful essays, Bechuanaland, a fabulous group of British East Africa (over 60 lots), Cape of Good Hope with interesting Mafeking Siege covers, a superb range of Cayman Islands postal history (over 70 lots), India with some unusual Telegraph stamps, Iraq including modern proofs, Japan, superb Kenya, Uganda and Tanganyika with interesting proofs and colour trials, Northern Rhodesia Rhodesia with fine "Double Heads", Russia (over 90 lots) including the recently discovered 1857 Tiflis Local (one of only six genuine examples known), fine 1858 imperforate 10k.'s, Tanganyika, South West Africa, etc., the sale concludes with Great Britain and includes Line Engraved proofs and essays, surface printed issues, modern errors, etc.
