The auction house Dr. Reinhard Fischer in Bonn will hold his 173rd auction on March 13 and 14, 2020. The extensive range with more than 8,000 lots offers not only a rich and valuable selection in the field of philately, but also an interesting selection of more than 1,000 lots of coins and jewelry.
The auction catalog contains numerous sought-after standard editions from all areas of German and international philately as well as a large number of rarities. Of particular note here is the dissolution of two general collections of German and European brands with a focus on the classic and semiclassical, from which numerous rarities were isolated, some of which had not been on the market for half a century.
The collection area of Old Germany offers a very good offer, including six "black ones" from Bavaria. The catalog also comes with 7 lots from the no less popular "Sachsen Dreier", including a flawless loose piece of Mi. 1a (estimated price 4,000.-) and another in the same condition on printed matter (6,000.-). Also note the dissolution of a great Oldenburg collection. A vertical pair of the 12 Pfg postal stamp "Hindenburg" red-orange with unusual comb stroke (Mi. 466Uu / Udr) of the perforation machine is estimated at 6,000.-. To date, only two pieces of the Mi. 46IIBR of the Deutsche Post in China with imprint in Type II are known in unused condition, only one of them as lower margin piece with HAN, estimated price 2,500.- The "Pleskau block" is also very rare the German occupation of Russia with an additional imprint of a red cross on the brown-red cross (Michel Bl. 2ZI), for the first time in the 35-year history of the company Offer Fischer a mint never hinged item in perfect condition (5,000.-) Furthermore, the detailing of a large Memel collection with a few hundred lots should ensure exciting bidding wars. A postage-correct airmail R letter with the currency-damaged block of Berlin with both plate errors (sheet 1II) is called for 2,000.-. Highlights from the general collections "Europe to 1960" include the legendary airmail edition of France, which mentions "Ile de France" from 1930 (Mi. 230/31), an unused set is valued at 5,000.-, a stamped copy of the 10 at 1,50 Fr. starts at 2,000.- , The old Switzerland offers attractive opportunities with numerous "cantonals" and early values, such as a stamped copy of the "Doppelgenf" (5,000.-) and a very nice piece of the "Waadt 4" (Mi. 1) in perfect condition (exclamation 6,000 .-).
The collection offer offers numerous opportunities for collectors and resellers. A large number of small and large discounts are offered in their original state without any withdrawals. There is also a selected range of country collections (including country-by-country resolutions of the substantial general collections in Europe), letter items and special collections from all areas of philately. The eighth part of the “Rheingold inventory” (in an addendum) again offers items and collections for dealers and retailers at a low price, in particular the constantly contested mail items making the auction a must.
In the numismatic area, the auction with more than 1,000 lots and almost 280,000 € exclamation from antiquity to modern coinage and medals includes an extensive and substantial offer.
Among the multitude of interesting single lots in the area of antiquity there is a large selection of provincial Roman coins as well as a series of Byzantine gold coins. Collectors of German territories should find what they are looking for in the extensive range of silver and gold coins from the Imperial and Third Reichs. Some rare 10 and 20 mark pieces such as Hessen 1892 Ludwig IV in vz (2,800.-) and 10 and 20-Mark pieces of Sachsen-Coburg-Gothas from 1905 (2,000.- or 2,700.-) silver and gold coins from all over the world with a focus on Australia, France, the Netherlands, Palau and the USA round off the auction perfectly. Also in this auction many lots and collections of all sizes and price ranges are offered. a. an interesting gold coin collection in several boxes for 8,500.-
Short Terms and Conditions
The sale of auction lots is subject to differential taxation. If we ship lots inside the EC, the buyer shall pay a buyers premium of 23,8 % of the hammer price and a lot fee of 3,– EUR per lot (both including VAT), also costs of shipping and insurance. If we ship lots to a country outside the EC, the buyer shall pay a buyers premium of 20 % of the hammer price and a lot fee a 3,– EUR per lot, also costs of shipping and insurance. If the goods are exported outside the EC by the buyer himself, it may be possible to refund VAT. For gold coins that are exempt from VAT, the buyer shall pay a buyers premium of 20 % of the hammer price and a lot fee a 3,– EUR per lot, also costs of shipping and insurance.
